I hereby acknowledge that I am willingly participating in the LegalHoops 3×3 Half-Court Double-Elimination Basketball Tournament (“the Event”) organized by LegalHoops Inc. (“the Organizer”). I understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Assumption of Risk: I am fully aware that participation in the Event involves inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to bodily injury, property damage, and potential loss. I acknowledge that these risks include, but are not limited to, collisions with other participants, contact with hard surfaces, and equipment-related accidents. I understand the risks involved may result in serious bodily harm, disability, or even death.
2. Release of Liability: In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, and any other person claiming through me, forever release, discharge, and hold harmless the Organizer, its agents, employees, representatives, sponsors, and partners from any liability, claims, actions, demands, expenses, or rights of action, whether at law or in equity, whether foreseen or unforeseen, arising out of or in any way connected to my participation in the Event. This release extends to claims for personal injury, death, property damage, or any other loss, including those caused by the negligence, fault, or conduct of the Organizer or any other participant.
3. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, its agents, employees, representatives, sponsors, and partners from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Event or any breach by me of this liability waiver/release form.
4. Consent to Medical Treatment: I understand and acknowledge that the Organizer does not provide medical insurance coverage for Event participants. In the case of injury or illness, I authorize the Organizer and its agents to provide or arrange any necessary medical treatment, including emergency medical services, in their sole and absolute discretion. I assume all responsibility for any costs associated with such treatment.
5. Understanding and Voluntary Participation: I have read this liability waiver/release form carefully and understand its contents. By signing this form, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue or seek compensation from the Organizer for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained during the Event. I agree to participate in the Event voluntarily and accept full responsibility for my actions and any consequences that may arise from participation.
6. Severability: If any provision of this liability waiver/release form is determined invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
I have carefully read and fully understand the contents of this liability waiver/release form and voluntarily signed it as my free act and deed.
