Venue Director

LegalHoops is a leading provider of high-quality basketball tournaments and events across various venues. We seek a dynamic and organized Venue Director to oversee and manage all aspects of our tournament venues. The Venue Director will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of each event, providing exceptional service to both teams and spectators.

Responsibilities:

1. Venue Operations Management:
– Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple tournament venues, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
– Coordinate with the maintenance team to promptly address any repair or maintenance issues.
– Implement and enforce venue policies and procedures to ensure compliance with LegalHoops’ standards and regulations.
– Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of venue equipment and supplies to support tournaments and events.

2. Event Coordination and Execution:
– Plan and coordinate logistics for tournaments and events, collaborating with various internal stakeholders, such as the tournament director and finance team.
– Schedule and coordinate practices, games, and competitions with teams and external parties.
– Coordinate with vendors (e.g., food and beverage providers, security personnel) to ensure smooth event execution.
– Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring they meet the required specifications and are aesthetically pleasing.

3. Staff Management:
– Recruit, train, and supervise a team of venue staff, including event coordinators, security personnel, janitors, and other support staff.
– Evaluate staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
– Ensure all staff members comply with LegalHoops’ policies and procedures and project a professional image to stakeholders.

4. Customer Service:
– Provide exceptional customer service to teams, spectators, and other event attendees, handling inquiries, complaints and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
– Continuously assess and incorporate customer feedback to enhance the overall event experience at LegalHoops’ venues.

5. Budget and Financial Management:
– Assist the finance team in developing and managing the venue budget, ensuring expenses are within projected guidelines.
– Monitor revenue streams, including ticket sales and concessions, to ensure financial goals are met.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Proven experience in venue management, event planning, or related roles.
– Knowledge of basketball tournaments and events is highly desirable.
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously.
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with strong attention to detail.
– Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
