Job Description: Division 5 – Chair at LegalHoops
LegalHoops seeks a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the Division 5 – Chair role. This position involves overseeing the players and teams participating in Division 5, which exclusively comprises players over 40 years old, with one qualifying player.
Responsibilities:
1. Player and Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the players and teams within Division 5. Establish open lines of communication and foster positive relationships to address concerns, questions, and suggestions.
2. Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve any disputes or conflicts between players, teams, or coaches in Division 5. Encourage fair play, sportsmanship, and always adherence to LegalHoops’ code of conduct.
3. Product Improvement: Solicit feedback from Division 5 players and teams to identify areas of improvement for LegalHoops’ services, rules, and regulations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement practical changes that enhance the overall experience.
4. Rule Compliance: Ensure that all teams and players in Division 5 adhere to LegalHoops’ rules and regulations. Educate participants on the rules and address any violations or misconduct promptly and appropriately.
5. Scheduling and Communication: Coordinate with LegalHoops’ scheduling team to organize the division’s game schedule and deliver timely updates to players and teams regarding fixtures, rule changes, league updates, and other important information.
6. Emergency Preparedness: Ensure appropriate safety protocols and emergency response procedures are in place for Division 5 activities. Act as a point of contact during emergencies and communicate relevant information to players, teams, and league officials.
7. Recruitment and Retention: Collaborate with LegalHoops’ recruitment team to attract new players and teams to Division 5. Implement strategies to retain existing participants, including organizing social events, networking opportunities, and community-building initiatives.
Qualifications:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
– Knowledge and understanding of basketball rules and regulations.
– Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
– Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
