Job Description: Division 4 Chair at LegalHoops
LegalHoops, a leading recreational sports tournament, seeks a dedicated and passionate individual to fulfill the role of Division 4 Chair. The Division 4 Chair will oversee all aspects of Division 4, which comprises qualifying players, and will serve as a crucial link between the players and teams in this division. We seek an enthusiastic individual who can effectively communicate, address concerns, and enhance the overall experience for Division 4 participants.
Responsibilities:
1. Player Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for all Division 4 players, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
2. Team Support: Offer assistance and guidance to teams within Division 4, providing necessary information, clarifying rules, and ensuring fair play and sportsmanship throughout the season.
3. Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve player and team disputes, utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive playing environment.
4. Problem Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify areas of improvement in division operations and actively work towards finding solutions to address any issues that may arise. This may include feedback collection, executing appropriate action plans, and sharing insights with the legalHoops management.
5. Rule Enforcement: Uphold the rules and regulations of LegalHoops, ensuring all participants adhere to fair play guidelines and proper conduct and taking appropriate action when necessary.
6. Season Planning and Execution: Collaborate with LegalHoops management to develop schedules, organize events, and coordinate various division-related activities. This includes ensuring timely communication with players regarding game schedules, cancellations, and any changes to division operations.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge and Passion for Basketball: Demonstrated understanding and passion for the game of basketball to effectively engage with players, address their concerns, and provide appropriate guidance.
2. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to communicate with players, teams, and LegalHoops management effectively. Active listening skills are crucial for understanding concerns and providing appropriate resolutions.
3. Conflict Resolution Abilities: Proven ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations with patience, empathy, and fairness to ensure satisfactory resolution for all parties involved.
