Job Description: LegalHoops Division 3 – Chair
LegalHoops is a premier sports company that caters to the legal community through its basketball tournaments. The Division 3 – Chair position is vital in our organization, overseeing and facilitating a positive experience for the three qualifying players and teams in Division 3. The Chair plays an instrumental role in addressing concerns, resolving issues, and continually improving the quality of the basketball product in Division 3.
Responsibilities:
1. Player and Team Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact and advocate for the Division 3 players and teams. Establish and maintain open lines of communication to effectively address concerns, queries, and feedback from all parties involved.
2. Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in resolving conflicts, disputes, or any issues that may arise within Division 3. Promote fair play, good sportsmanship, and adherence to the league’s rules and regulations.
3. Product Improvement: Regularly engage with Division 3 players to gather feedback and suggestions for improving the basketball experience. Collaborate with the LegalHoops management team to implement enhancements, such as rule modifications, facility improvements, or additional services, that contribute to the enjoyable and competitive nature of the league.
4. Division Administration: Oversee the administrative tasks specific to Division 3, including scheduling games, maintaining accurate player and team records, tracking statistics, and providing timely updates to all relevant parties.
5. Rules Enforcement: Ensure all Division 3 players and teams know and abide by LegalHoops’ rules and regulations. Address any instances of rule violations or misconduct appropriately in collaboration with the league’s disciplinary committee.
6. Team Building: Foster a sense of camaraderie and team spirit within Division 3 by organizing social events, tournaments, or community involvement initiatives. Encourage player and team bonding to enhance the overall experience and promote sportsmanship.
Requirements:
1. Basketball Knowledge: Strong understanding of basketball rules, gameplay, and amateur and competitive-level strategies.
2. Excellent Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with diverse players and teams. Robust and active listening skills to address concerns and provide appropriate guidance.
3. Conflict Resolution Skills: Proven ability to handle conflicts and disputes reasonably and unbiasedly while maintaining professionalism and promoting favorable resolutions.
4. Organizational and Administrative Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in managing administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and communication. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
