LegalHoops seeks a proactive and dedicated individual to take on the Division 1 – Chair role. As the Division 1 – Chair, you will oversee the player and team activities within Division 1, which consists of one qualifying player on the roster. This position presents an exciting opportunity to positively impact the player experience, address concerns, and enhance the quality of our basketball offerings.
Responsibilities:
1. Player and Team Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for Division 1 players and teams, offering assistance, guidance, and support throughout the season. Strive to build strong relationships with the participants, keeping an open line of communication to understand their needs and concerns.
2. Conflict Resolution: Proactively address any conflicts or disputes between players or teams in Division 1. Act as a mediator, facilitating discussions and applying fair solutions to maintain a harmonious and competitive environment.
3. Product Improvement: Collaborate with the LegalHoops management team to gather feedback from Division 1 players and teams on the tournament format, rules, and overall experience. Deliver actionable insights to help shape and enhance the product, ensuring continuous improvement and increased participant satisfaction.
4. Rule Enforcement: Ensure that players and teams in Division 1 adhere to LegalHoops’ rules and regulations. Monitor the games and address any violations or misconduct swiftly and appropriately, maintaining fair play and sportsmanship.
5. Schedule Management: Assist in creating and managing the Division 1 schedule, ensuring a balanced and competitive play experience for all participants. Communicate schedule updates or changes promptly to the teams and players involved.
Qualifications:
1. Passion for Basketball: Demonstrated passion for basketball with a good understanding of tournament dynamics and player needs.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with Division 1 players and teams. Ability to listen attentively, empathize with concerns, and provide clear explanations or guidance.
3. Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to address and resolve issues arising within the division. Ability to remain calm under pressure and foster positive relationships among participants.
4. Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to concurrently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and rule enforcement.
